How to get here

By car: Sat navs will bring you to the Batch Valley but not directly to YHA All Stretton Bunkhouse. For car parking, please use the What3Words reference ///reverted.blank.youth (the hostel itself is nearby at ///maybe.alike.probably).

  1. From Shrewsbury, take the A49, signposted Hereford/Leominster for 11 miles.
  2. Turn right on to the B5477, signposted All Stretton.
  3. After approximately a mile, you will pass a large care home on your left and the Yew Tree pub on your right – turn right immediately after the pub signposted ‘Village Hall’.
  4. Follow the road to the end and cross the cattle grid.
  5. Once on the track and past the houses you will find there is a fence on your right – follow this fence. The track will start to climb. Continue to follow it and you will come to the parking space outside the double garage.
  6. Leave your car here. Walk on to the track and turn right. Walk up the hill – the bunkhouse is the second building on your right.

From Ludlow, go through the traffic lights at Church Stretton and continue on the A49 until you come to the B5477 – do not take the earlier left turns sign posted All Stretton. Then follow directions above.

From Much Wenlock, when you come to the traffic lights on the A49, before Church Stretton village, turn right and continue on the A49 until you come to the B5477.  Then follow directions above.

By train: The nearest train station is Church Stretton, 1.5 miles away. Walk or cycle out of the station drive and continue up Sandford Avenue to the cross roads. Turn right and walk or cycle for approximately 1.5 miles until you see a sign to the ‘Village Hall’ on your left. Take this turn and then follow directions above (point 4 onwards).
