How to get here

By car: From the A1, follow signs for Berwick town centre. Head across the bridge and turn right onto Marygate, go down the hill and past the town hall clock tower. Turn right onto Hide Hill, then take the next right onto Bridge Street. After about 90m, you’ll see the hostel car park on your left.

By train: Mainline services frequently run between Berwick-upon-Tweed and Edinburgh, York, Newcastle
and London. The hostel is a 10-minute walk from Berwick-upon-Tweed rail station. From the station, walk up the hill toward the Castle Hotel, turn right onto Castlegate. Follow the main road to Berwick town centre. At the town hall clock tower, turn right on to Hide Hill then right again on to Bridge Street. Dewars Lane is about 90m down on the left, next to the Lowry trail marker. If you're getting a taxi, ask for the YHA, located at Dewars Lane Granary, off Bridge Street car park.

By coach: There is no Coach parking at the hostel, but facilities are available in the town. There is 24hr mini bus parking on Berwick Quayside and 2hr mini bus parking on Bridge Street (08:00 - 18:00). Longer stay coach parking can be found at the Ramparts Business Park to the North, or Swan Leisure Centre to the South - both of which are approx. 1 mile from the town centre. There is no coach access at the hostel, Coaches are advised to drop-off at Golden Square bus stop, approx. a 4 minute walk from the hostel.

By plane: The nearest airport is Edinburgh.
