How to get here

From Church Stretton: Follow signs for ‘The Burway’ and take right fork at the top of the Long Mynd, then follow YHA signs. This road is treacherous and is impassible in bad weather conditions.

From Shrewsbury: Join the bypass and follow signs for Leominster until Leominster turns off left. At this island take the right turn for Shrewsbury. Go straight ahead at the next small island and take the second exit off the next large island following local signs for the Nuffield Hospital. At the next island turn left into Longden Road passing the hospital on your right, then on through Annscoft, Longden and Pulverbathc. The turning for the Hostel is three miles after Pulverbatch on the left by the sign for The Horseshoes Inn.

From Craven Arms: Follow A49, then take A489 signposted to Bishops castle then follow signs for Wetnor then Ratlinghope, turn right for Ratlinghope Church and The Horseshoes Inn. Travelling to the hostel over the Burway road in the winter is not advised.

By rail: Church Stretton has a charter train service from Shrewsbury.
