How to get here
By car: From Keswick follow the B5289 (signed Borrowdale) for approximately 9 miles. The hostel on the left at the top of the pass. This is a steep hill and guests should be prepared for ice and snow during the winter months.
By bus: Keswick is the most convenient access point for those travelling by public transport. A circular bus service runs from Easter to October half-term from there (77/77A). This links YHA Keswick, YHA Borrowdale, YHA Honister Hause and YHA Buttermere with several journeys each day. Outside these months, the nearest bus stop is at Seatoller.
By train: The nearest rail station is Whitehaven, 25 miles away. Penrith station is 28 miles away but offers better access to the hostel via public transport.
