How to get here

By car: From Ringwood, in Burley keep left at The Cross (centre of village) signposted Brockenhurst/Lymington, and travel up the steep hill, past the school and cricket pitch on your left, then half a mile along Wilverley Road to a crossroads, turn left signposted in green 'White Buck Inn' and 'Burley Youth Hostel'. Follow signs for the White Buck, Cott Lane being the track to the left of the pub entrance.

Important – the section of Cott Lane from the cricket pitch to the hostel is not suitable for vehicles. Please access the lane from the eastern end via the White Buck Inn. Coaches can park at the golf course or the White Buck Inn at either end of Cott Lane.

By bus: It’s entirely possible to explore the wider local area without the use of a car. In high season the open-top New Forest Tour bus route links the National Park’s major towns, villages and attractions. Alternatively, escape to the coast; Christchurch is a 45-minute bus journey away and the Blue Flag beach at Southbourne, a favourite among locals, is a little way beyond.
