Situated just next door to the popular Conkers Discovery Centre, YHA National Forest is ideal for affordable family breaks, activity breaks and school trips. The eco-friendly building has been designed to reduce the effect of your stay on the environment, making it a great option for those keen to stay in environmentally friendly accommodation.
Aside from Conkers, other nearby attractions include Drayton Manor Theme Park and Twycross Zoo and there are plenty of great routes in the area for walking holidays and cycling holidays.
This hostel is available on an Exclusive Hire basis and for group bookings only.
YHA National Forest has everything you need to experience the best of Derbyshire. The hostel makes an ideal base for field trips and getaways in nature. Relax in our grounds or sit down for some group catering to keep you going throughout the day.
With Conkers Discovery Centre and the family-friendly activities of Rosliston Forestry Centre next door, we make a great choice for schools discovering the great outdoors. You could also have a day out at Twycross Zoo or learn industrial secrets at the Moira Furnace. Fans of Derbyshire’s amazing walking routes will find the Ashby Trail nearby and cyclists of all abilities are spoilt for choice.
Accommodation: This hostel is available on an Exclusive Hire basis only, so you'll get the entire place to yourself.
Licensed bar: This hostel has a licensed bar offering a range of alcohol and soft drinks. It is not possible for guests to bring their own alcohol, except when hiring the whole hostel through YHA Exclusive Hire.
Self-catering: YHA National Forest is self-catering only. Guests have access to a kitchen.
Parking: There is free parking on site.
WiFi: Free WiFi is available in shared social spaces.
Dogs: Pets are not permitted at YHA National Forest, except when hiring the whole hostel through YHA Exclusive Hire (charge applies). Assistance dogs are welcome throughout.
