Explore Northumberland from our state-of-the-art location – YHA The Sill at Hadrian’s Wall. The hostel itself is adjoined by The Sill: National Landscape Discovery Centre which focuses on the unique landscape and is managed by our partners Northumberland National Park Authority.
Ideally located in the beautiful countryside, this high-spec hostel is perfect for exploring the Hadrian's Wall World Heritage site, located just a few hundred metres away. You’ll also be close to the Roman Army Museum, the awe-inspiring Roman fort at Vindolanda and, of course, the adjoining discovery centre with its innovative exhibitions and spectacular viewing platforms. Most of our bedrooms are dormitory style rooms with bunk beds. We always try to allocate bedrooms close together and will never ask your group to share bedrooms with anyone not in your group.

Food and drink: Breakfast is served to guests daily from 07:30 – 09:00. Meals are also available from 17:00 – 20:00.
