Social walk from YHA Hartington Hall
Overview
Saturday 14th September 2024 and Saturday 12th October 2024
Distance: 6 miles
Duration: 3 - 4 hours
Led by: Simon Ainley/Andrew McCloy, YHA, with BMC volunteer guides
Starting and finishing at YHA Hartington Hall, this circular walk via Beresford Dale, Wolfscote Dale and Biggin Dale is a classic White Peak route through stunning limestone hillcountry – dales, streams, screes and cliffs. Although it’s low level there are a few modest slopes; and while the terrain is generally good, it does become rocky and possibly wet underfoot in one or two places in Biggin Dale.
This event is part of YHA's Festival of Walking - view other social walks.
What makes it special
- Stunning White Peak limestone scenery
- Great for building confidence walking in rural locations
- Free cuppa and cake at the finishing point
