Overview
This is a simply amazing area for fell running. A popular winter route is night running over Great Whernside, only for the experienced, but with a clear night, there is really nowhere better on earth than this. Then back to the hostel for a hot shower and a bowl of stew, some Wharfedale blonde (it's a beer) - just what you need after your run.
