Our Board of Trustees appoint a Chief Executive who, along with the directors, is charged with delivering YHA's business plan, to achieve our charitable object and bring to life our vision of reaching out and enhancing the lives of young people.
Meet the YHA Executives
James Blake
Chief Executive, YHA (England & Wales)
James brings a wealth of experience to YHA, including overseeing complex organisations balancing commercial imperative and public benefit. He has been Chief Executive of YHA since 2017, joining from St Albans Council where he was CEO from 2012 to 2017.
He was previously a senior civil servant in government, specialising in policy on local government, regeneration and social inclusion.
