The Isles of Scilly

The Isles of Scilly, from the air

Overview

Each island has its own unique character, charms, and adventures.  Don't miss the sub-tropical Tresco Abbey Gardens.  Visit the Porth Hellick Down Burial Chamber dating back to the Bronze Age (2000BC), or the Long Rock Standing Stone, along with many other ancient sites.  There are many sandy beaches to relax on.

See the Visit Isle of Scilly website

The only way to get to the Scilly Isles is to either fly or take a ferry, or a combination of both (fly out with bus shuttle from Penzance to Lands End Airport and sail back).  The island's own travel company, Isle of Scilly Travel, provides all of these options on a scheduled basis, and does it from Lands End Airport, Newquay Airport, Exeter Airport, and Penzance Harbour.

What makes it special

  • See the Isles by flying in and sailing back
