YHA London Lee Valley was built in 2004 on the site of the old open air swimming pool in Cheshunt. The town name of Cheshunt comes from the old English name for the area, Cestrehunt as recorded in the Domesday Book.
Manager recommends: If you are looking to embrace the countryside, why not take a walk around the 10,000 acre Lee Valley Country Park or hire a bike from nearby and see the park on two wheels! It's also worth heading down the canal to the White Water Rafting Centre where the Olympic water sports took place, you really feel like you are in another part of the country, not just 30 minutes from the heart of London. Also, only 20 minutes away is the Olympic Park and Shopping Centre. Lee Valley really has the best of both worlds.
