Alex Staniforth
Young adventurer, inspirational speaker, fundraiser and author from Cheshire.
Aged just 22, he has been on four expeditions to the Himalayas and made two attempts to climb Mount Everest. Alex is no stranger to overcoming adversity, having suffered mental illness, epilepsy, stammering and bullying in earlier life.
Now he shares his experiences with thousands as a truly unique inspirational speaker and has written a book: ICEFALL. Alex carried the London 2012 Olympic torch and has raised over £60,000 for charity. In 2017 Alex climbed to the highest point of every UK county in his #ClimbTheUK challenge which he completed in just two months, raising £20,000 for Young Minds UK, and staying at Youth Hostels along the way.
I have my challenges – they don’t have me!
