Walking and rambling in Malham
If you're planning on staying at YHA Malham, why not download a free map and get out exploring? All our self-guided walks start and end at a YHA hostel and are graded so that you can explore the area...
Set just a short distance from the famous Malham Cove, Malham Tarn and Gordale Scar, YHA Malham offers comfortable Pennine Way accommodation in the heart of a beautiful dales village. Surrounded by classic limestone scenery and with a prime location in the centre of the village, the hostel boasts a well-appointed restaurant, pretty grounds and a vast range of bedroom types, including the recent addition of en-suite facilities.
The Pennine Way and Yorkshire Dales Cycle Way pass close by, making it a great option for walking and cycling holidays in the Dales. Heading a little further a field from Malham, the market town of Skipton offers a medieval castle, boat trips on the Leeds Liverpool canal plus boutique shops and cafés. What's more the Settle to Carlisle rail journey travels through majestic scenery and across the iconic Ribblehead viaduct.
