What you need to know about our Camping & Cabins

Check-in: From 17:00 - 22:00

Towels and toiletries: Hand soap is provided next to all sinks. Towels are not supplied as standard but can be rented from the hostel.
Bedding: Bedding is supplied in our Airstreams, bell tents, camping pods and Landpods.
Heating: Heating is supplied in our Airstreams, bell tents and camping pods. One free pack of wood is provided for the wood burner in our bell tents per stay (additional packs can be purchased from reception).
Dogs: Dogs can stay on our campsite and in our Airstreams, bell tents, camping pods and Landpods. There is a £10 charge per dog per night for our Airstream, bell tent, camping pod and Landpod accommodation which is payable upon arrival. You can bring your dog for free if you are camping in your own tent. When staying as part of a Camping & Cabins booking, dogs are permitted in the public areas within the hostel (except in kitchens).

A former family home, YHA New Forest is a converted country house, set in its own beautiful grounds. This property is an ideal base for a rural retreat close to the coast.

Where you'll sleep

Across the entire building there is a total of six bedrooms.

Ground floor

One en-suite room that sleeps up to 4 people. It includes 2 sets of bunk beds.

One room that sleeps up to 7 people. It includes a single high-sleeper bunk with a double bed underneath and 2 sets of bunk beds.

First floor

One en-suite room that sleeps up to 5 people. It includes 2 sets of bunk beds and a single bed.

One room that sleeps up to 5 people. It includes a single high-sleeper bunk with a double bed underneath and a set of bunk beds.

Two rooms that sleeps up to 6 people each. They include 3 sets of bunk beds.

Kitchen and dining

The kitchen is located on the ground floor and includes a range of conveniences listed below.

Kitchen appliances: clothes airer, kettle, microwave, oven, refrigerator, stove, toaster, wood stove.

Kitchenware: dishes and cutlery, kitchen utensils, pots, pans.

Cleaning basics: anti-bacterial spray, cloths, paper towels, washing up liquid.

A highchair is available.

Lounge

The lounge is located on the ground floor and seats up to 15 people. There are comfy sofas, arm chairs, tables and a coffee table. You can cosy up by the open fire with a book.

Bathrooms

Across the entire building there is a total of three bathrooms, plus 2 additional toilets.

Toilet paper is provided and hand soap is available next to all sinks.

Outdoors

Outside is a medium-sized garden. The garden is enclosed with a fence.

Guests have full access to the garden, though the camping pods and shower block will be closed.

Dogs: Hire YHA New Forest and bring your dogs! Add a dog to your booking at the checkout and bring your four-legged friend along with you. Dogs are not permitted in the bedrooms, on the furniture or in the kitchen, and must be kept on a lead in the grounds.
Checking in: You will receive an email prior to your arrival with the property address and check-in instructions.
Guest access: Guests have the use of the whole property, except the external camping pods and shower block. Hostel staff live on site.

YHA New Forest is set within beautiful grounds on the edges of the Hampshire village of Burley. Its peaceful position is close to the thatched cottages, tea rooms and cider farms which typify the area, and the coast is just a short journey away, making this a perfect spot for a family getaway.

The New Forest is great for all kinds of activity breaks, including walking, horse riding and pony trekking with plenty of routes for cycling holidays too.

Unlimited breakfast at YHA New Forest

Enjoy all you can eat for breakfast including sausage, bacon, eggs, hash browns, tomatoes and beans. Continental options include fresh fruit, cereal, yogurt and pastries.
