Set within 60 acres of beautiful grounds in the heart of the Peak District, YHA Ravenstor sits high above the River Wye between Bakewell and Buxton. Perfect for a cheap family holiday, this country retreat offers great opportunities for exploring the majesty of the great outdoors, with plenty of walking routes – including the Monsal Trail – easily accessible from the hostel.
With a cosy lounge, a spacious dining room and plenty of other excellent facilities, this National Trust country house is ideal for visits to the Derbyshire Dales.
YHA Ravenstor is a former mill owner’s home that sits within 60 acres of mature woodland – great for activities and exploring! It has a mix of larger, dormitory style bedrooms and smaller rooms, ideal for teachers and group leaders.
This hostel offers lots of activities on-site and makes a great base for local attractions from show caves to stately homes, while more adventurous groups can enjoy climbing or mountain biking in the local area. Why not try abseiling down a nearby viaduct along the Monsal Trail?
Most of our bedrooms are dormitory style rooms with bunk beds. We always try to allocate bedrooms close together and will never ask your group to share bedrooms with anyone not in your group.
Upgrades are available for sole use of an area, floor or the entire place.
YHA Ravenstor has a games room, lounge, dedicated classroom, drying room and free Wi-Fi. After a day of adventures, you can relax with a meal and a drink from our licensed bar.
