YHA Haworth is a Victorian Gothic mansion that was built as the family home of a local mill owner. The sweeping staircase, ornate painted glass, richly carved oak and plaster friezes hint at the building's opulent past.
The hostel is well used by groups but it is also very popular with solo travellers, families and overseas guests. We're ideally situated for backpackers travelling around the Hebden Bridge and Todmorden areas and, of course, the village is best known as home of the Brontë sisters.
You can relax in the hostel's garden or make use of our TV room and lounge. Guests can enjoy the on-site café, self-catering kitchen and laundry facilities. The hostel is located near the scenic Yorkshire Dales cycle way routes with cycle storage and a drying room available at the hostel for cyclists too.
Reception hours: From 07:30 - 10:00 and 16:00 - 22:00.
Licensed bar: This hostel has a licensed bar offering a range of alcohol and soft drinks. It is not possible for guests to bring their own alcohol, except when hiring the whole hostel through YHA Exclusive Hire.
Self-catering: Guests have access to a self-catering kitchen. This is located on the basement floor down a flight of stone stairs. We recommend that you avoid carrying very hot or heavy food up to the dining room on the ground floor if possible.

Manager recommends: With excellent transport links to Leeds, Bradford and Halifax you can really get out and about exploring the local areas and the manager recommends Hebden Bridge as a quirky little town to visit, it has built a reputation for "great little shops" and has an unusually high density of independent shops for a UK town of its size with more than 20 cafes and tea rooms, and about 20 pubs, micro pubs and restaurants so you certainly wont be bored. There really is something for everyone at YHA Haworth!
